International husband and wife team, both former investment bankers, started the online collection of unique home accessories after the Danish Mr. Jensen and Italian Ms, Bertinetto moved to Manhattan after a stint in Europe. After they found their perfect apartment and filled it with the treasures they had brought back from Europe, they still went through a lot of trouble to find the final finishing touches.
According to the site, even in the diverse city of New York, finding cool accent pieces all in the same place was a time consuming and frustrating quest. So once their apartment was finally fabulously furnished, they decided to open their Web store, which provides tons of unique edgy items that can be re-imagined to fit into any home.
Each item on the site comes with not only a complete physical description, but also details on how the item fits into design philosophy. The promotional copy for the luxurious Rex Chinchilla Throw reads, "Treat yourself to unsurpassed luxury! Decadently soft, this throw is the ultimate indulgence. Made of the finest lapin rex fur, this is the closest you can get to the feel of chinchilla or sheared mink. Beautiful rich shades of gray and silver perfectly reproduce the pattern of chinchilla fur."
The site also offers large pieces of furniture, with modern clean lines. One of the more fantastic finds is The Modular sofa, which is extremely futuristic looking and has to be special ordered.
