The Pippa chair, which has since evolved into a line of foldable indoor and outdoor furniture, was in turn inspired by the leather furniture designed by Jean Michel Frank and Paul Dupre-Lafont for Hermes in the 1940s and 1950s, which has since become something of a holy grail in design circles. Dumas furniture is sleek and contemporary with references to Hermes saddle making tradition in the use of leather and stitching.
