 And the winner is?
In every industry there are awards-it's no secret that celebrities pack themselves on the back but if you think about it, most industries have an award for the best... something. The hardworking designers in the bathroom industry are no exception. Recently, Wallpaper Magazine, chose the Istanbul Collection designed by Ross Lovegrove for VitrA for its "Best Bathroom" design award. According to the judges, the collection was "the most ambitious bathroom range of the year."
Okay, so I'm not sure how a bathroom is "ambitious" but I'll leave it alone. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, this is one bathroom you're not likely to see at your neighbor's house. The geometric designs on the ceramic tiles, bathtub panels and toilet seats create fluidity while presenting a progressive futuristic look. The sculptured freestanding washbasin represents the forward-thinking philosophy and technological know-how that embodies VitrA's designs.
