Arclinea Boston Shows an Award-Fetchin' Kitchen

Luxury Home Decor: Arclinea Boston recently received the Gold Award for Best Remodeling of a Kitchen Over $100,000 at the 2005 Builders Association of Greater Boston PRISM Awards. Arclinea Boston's project manager Mercedes Farrando designed the kitchen in collaboration with the architecture firm Feinmann Inc. The same kitchen also was named Platinum Award and Best in Show winner of the first annual Boston Luxury Living Awards, which was sponsored by HomeWorks Sourcebook.

The award-winning kitchen was set up to allow intuitive movement from storage to preparation, cooking, and cleaning stations. To maximize functionality and storage space, two islands and an eye-catching wall of tall units were used to allow easy access to pots and pans. Storage units were coupled with a ladder to allow easy access to items used less frequently.

Arclinea kitchens are conceived to combine the benefits of a fully functional, professional cooking space with smart, attractive, and inviting designs. Each concept is a stand-alone work devoted to style, function and ergonomics.

Acclaimed Italian architect Antonio Citterio is the creative ingénue behind the firm's divergent and innovative designs. Arclinea Boston is the first flagship showroom in the United States for Arclinea. The firm is equally suited to design kitchens for businesses or residences.
