Luxury Home Décor: Great Nordic Design offers innovative home décor that is uniquely artistic and made from only the finest natural materials found in the Baltic States, Sweden, and New Zealand. G.A. D is the firm's furniture maker. G.A.D's items are made from birch oak, and cherry. Tediously devoted to craftsmanship, all finishes and paints applied to its woodworks are natural. Linseed oil is used to coat the furniture, and egg-tempera paint, which dates back to artwork of the Middle Ages, is used to color it. Although applying either topping to wood is very time consuming, the results are priceless, as the wood retains its natural beauty and ages gracefully. G.A.D also uses Gotland limestone, black granite, and diabase for its counter tops. The leather and sheepskin upholstery used also comes from Gotland sheep. Gotland, a county and province of Sweden, is a rural island in the middle of the Baltic Sea between Sweden and the Baltic States.

GND's Designer's Eye products include luxurious pillowcases, seat cushions, throws, and room dividers. The material used is 100-percent felted-virgin New Zealand wool, which is amazingly soft and durable. Standard pillowcases are 20" x 20" and larger ones are 26" x 26". Sixty variants of the pillowcases are available. Pillows filled with either goose down or goose feather also are available. The seat cushions, which have non-skid backs and are 14" diameter, are presented in solid and two colors. The room dividers, aside from being most aesthetic, possess sound-muffling capabilities too.

Great Nordic Design is not the only place displaying G.A.D's prestigious furniture. The Swedish Embassy in Washington, D.C., is showcasing a Room of Gotland that is furnished by G.A.D.
