Luxury Watches: There is luxury and then there is luxury-luxury. Generally, when something comes our way that is viewed as an upper-echelon item, we report it to our luxury-loving readers and that's that. Weekly we write about vehicles that cost up to and
over $1 million and single-family residences costing over $100 million. So, sticker shock rarely affects anyone here. However, these wristwatches by Roger Dubuis, priced as high as $250,000, definitely piqued our attention.
The AcquaMare has a stainless-steel case; the dial comes in either gold or black; the diameter of its case is 41 millimeters; and it has a sapphire crystal. It is self-winding and comes with a rubber strap. The GoldenSquare Tourbillon has a white-gold case; the dial is offered in skeleton, which shows off its tourbillon complication, and a mother-of-pearl case; the case's diameter is 40 millimeters; the strap is crocodile leather; and the watch must be wound manually. Both models are water resistant up to 30 meters. The high-end list price of the AcquaMare Automatics is $100,000, and the GoldenSquare Tourbillons are priced from $100,000 to $250,000. The GoldenSquare Tourbillon also has another men's model with a larger case, which is 43 millimeters, and one
for the ladies with a case size of 34 millimeters. Excalibur, BeHeart, and Bacio are additional gleaming gems by Roger Dubuis.
