Jewelry: Founded in 1999, Blue Nile is the largest online jewelry retailer of certified diamonds and fine jewelry in classic, luxury designs from engagement rings to earrings. The secret to their popularity is that they offer a variety of services to show they care.

According to their Web site, "The company is built on a unique idea: choosing an engagement ring doesn't have to be complicated. Diamonds can be simple to understand. Making the right choice can be easy." And making luxury shopping even more enjoyable.

At Blue Nile you'll find high-quality diamonds certified by the most respected independent diamond grading labs. You can create your own jewelry -- choose the right diamond and we'll set it in your favorite earring, pendant, or ring design, according to the Web site. Or you can choose from a large variety of luxurious preset diamonds and jewels.

Diamonds are the oldest symbols of luxury and Blue Nile wants to make sure you made the right choice with your luxury purchase. To that end, Blue Nile offers special care and services to make sure their customers are happy. Every order is shipped free, guaranteed and returnable within 30 days, so you can be sure you made the right decision. They also have expert services available to help ensure you are happy and knowledgeable with your diamond purchase. You can call or e-mail with any questions and a knowledgeable customer service representative will help you make sure that you have chosen the right stone and setting for you.

In addition to being a provider of luxury jewelry, Blue Nile also cares and sells only conflict-free diamonds, in keeping with the global diamond industry's zero-tolerance on conflict diamonds. The Web site explains that Blue Nile diamonds are found and purchased, "Through measures such as the Kimberley Process, which tracks diamonds from mine to market, the industry in partnership with the United Nations, governments, and non-governmental organizations, polices diamond exports to prevent the trade of illegal diamonds." The Kimberly Process makes sure that diamonds are found and purchased from conflict free mines in Australia, Africa, Russia and Canada. In many African nations, diamonds are a means to employing and providing healthcare to thousands of people. Blue Nile diamonds come with warranties, which ensure that your diamonds are conflict free.

All of the jewelry on the Blue Nile site is pre-selected to be of the highest quality. Although diamonds are the most popular of their offerings, Blue Nile also has exceptional pearls, gemstones in platinum, gold and silver settings, which all meet the Blue Nile high quality standards. In fact, all engagement rings use platinum prongs to make sure that the diamonds can't get loose.

Blue Nile continues to grow and expand because of its dedication to providing the finest, high quality stones and metals in all of their luxury settings.

Does Blue Nile have princess cut diamond solitaire pendants? I've been looking for a good one, and have only found a few.

Blue Nile diamonds are bought from Israel which undermines the statement that their diamonds are conflict free. Funds from the Israeli diamond industry contribute to the Israeli governments gross violation of Palestinian human rights. Israeli diamonds are not conflict free....they are Blood Diamonds!
