Luxury Watch Auction to Benefit Charity Set for Monaco in September

On September 23, the Principality of Monaco will stage the fourth annual edition of the world-famous Only Watch charity auction under the patronage of Prince Albert. Forty one-of-a-kind timepieces will be sold by leading horological auction house Antiquorum at the eye-popping event. The auction, slated to take place at the Hotel Hermitage, will draw international luxury watch connoisseurs as well as online and telephone bidders. The entire proceeds of the sale will be donated to support research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Among the prestigious and innovative Swiss watchmakers who have created a unique and special timepieces for the occasion are Audemars Piguet, Bell & Ross, Blancpain, Chopard, Girard-Perregaux, Hermes, Hublot, Louis Vuitton, Montblanc, Patek Philippe, Piaget, Tag Heuer and Vacheron Constantin. From August 30 to September 17, the Only Watch 2011 collection will be showcased in a world tour that will visit Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, Milan and Geneva. The tour will close in Monaco with a three-day exhibition at the Monaco Yacht Show just prior to the auction.
