BASELWORLD attracts nearly 95,000 visitors and 2,000 exhibitors from over 45 countries to its annual showcase of products from the world of luxury watches and jewelry. Before the room could be filled with industry experts, connoisseurs and collectors, top brands get a chance to introduce their latest and greatest to the mass media. TAG Heuer took to the stage to debut its uber feminine Link Lady watch, adorned on the wrist of its new, beautiful blonde brand ambassador, Cameron Diaz.
“I am thrilled to be here in Switzerland to be a part of the launch of the Link Lady," Diaz announced to the boisterous crowd. “Throughout my career, I have been very selective about aligning myself with brands. I love the fact that TAG Heuer challenges the rules and thinks outside the box and I’m honored to be associated with such an iconic and forward-thinking brand."
The Link Lady comes in varying colors and designs including those for 'seduction,' 'simplicity,'' sophistication,' and 'style,' all with the elegant and timeless LINK bracelet. The signature S-shaped link was first created in 1987 and since viewed as a status symbol and sign of quality craftsmanship. TAG has envisioned this admired shape in the Link Lady collection to represent that of the female form in all its beauty, strength and sensuality.
"I have been a fan of the TAG Heuer brand for many years, Diaz explained. "When they showed me the design for the Link Lady, I thought it was the perfect evolution of timeless watchmaking and iconic designs, all reinterpreted with glamour and elegance for a modern woman."
BASELWORLD also got a glimpse of TAG Heuer's Haute Couture version of the Link Lady, the Diamond Star. The inspiration behind the design of this luxury timepiece was based on the idea that just like a Hollywood actress of the highest caliber attracts the light and attention of a cinematic camera with every subtle movement, as will the Link Lady Diamond Star.
