Designer Art Collections: Visionaire is a company that fuses together art and fashion to make one-of-a-kind, limited edition pieces of art, called "albums." Each edition is created by very famous or emerging artists form around the world and have become must-have items for luxury lovers everywhere.
According to the Visionaire Web site, the art behind Visionaire can be described as:
"A multi-format album of fashion and art produced in exclusive numbered limited editions. Since its inception in the Spring of 1991, Visionaire has offered a forum for works by both famous and emerging artists from around the world as well as personalities, fashion designers, art directors, and image-makers."
Published three times a year, Visionaire features a different theme and format with each issue.
"Artists work in collaboration with Visionaire to produce their personal interpretations on a theme, and are given unparalleled freedom to push Visionaire's original formats."
Visionaire also offers limited edition bookzines in addition to their current collection or "issues." Each collection from Visionaire features artistic collaborations from the highest levels of talent in the world.
Visionaire's current issue, Visionaire 53. Sound combines sound and visual on limited edition albums. Visionaire 53. Sound will consist of five 12-inch vinyl records imprinted with images (picture discs), containing approximately 100 minutes of content featuring audio experiments, unreleased songs, samples, and spoken word pieces. The five records are packaged inside a domed case that also houses a custom-made MINI Clubman 'Vinyl Killer' Record Player: a battery-operated toy car containing speakers and a needle. As the little car drives along the record's groove, it plays each track, acting as a fully portable record player and sound system. Sound is a limited edition of 4,000 numbered copies, which includes two CD's with all the sound content, and a booklet of credits and instructions. The contributors for the collection are a wide array of musicians from U2 to artists including Yoko Ono and fashion designers including Karl Lagerfield.
Visionaire is a visionary hybrid of artistic mediums essential for luxury lovers' personal collections of art.
