 News & Trends: Lamborghini and extreme are words that go together. But wait for what the luxury carmaker considers as its most extreme creation yet - the exclusive Reventon Roadster. Similar to its hardtop version, production will be limited to only 20 units.
Powering the Roadster is a 6.5-litre V12 with 661bhp, allowing for a 0-60mph time of 3.4sec and a top speed of 205mph. Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann described the Reventon as the "the most extreme car in the history of the brand." He further says that the car "adds an extra emotional component" to its technological expertise. He said that car combines superior performance with the sensuality of open-top driving. While the Roadster has the same footprint as the coupe, it weighs 25kg more, at 1690kg. Two hidden pop-up bars are positioned behind the two seats and are expected to deploy in a few hundredths of a second if the car rolls. Instead of traditional dials, we see hi-tech liquid crystal displays. The Roadster is painted a new shade of matte grey called Reventon Grey, which is a slightly different color from that of the coupe. The car is priced at €1.1 million.
