America's First ATM Gold Bullion Vending Machine in Boca Raton

News & Trends: The first gold bullion vending machine in the U.S. recently launched at the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton, Fla. The announcement by PMX Gold, LLC, came on Friday, December 17. The "Gold to Go" ATM vending machines now have more than a dozen locations worldwide.

There currently are ATM gold-bullion vending machines in Germany, Spain, Italy and Dubai. The machines are permanently online and adjust product prices every 90 seconds in accordance to gold's current market price. Germany-based Ex Oriente Lux AG is the developer of the technology used for the gold-bullion vending machines.

Newly minted .999 pure Credit Suisse Gold Bullion Bars and U.S. minted American Eagle Gold Coins will be dispensed to American customers in the first U.S. test marketing of the machines to be conducted by PMX Gold. The machines will be located in Florida only for a three-month period before expanding into other states and establishing more partnerships, according to Mr. Michael Hiler, president and CEO at PMX Gold.

"Since the Gold to Go" ATM gold-bullion vending machine first came onto PMXO's radar screen, we have invested numerous hours of research and work to develop the initial infrastructure and integrate certain aspects of this concept into our business plan," said Hiler.

The first vending machine was installed last summer, in Dubai, at the Emirates Palace Hotel. By eliminating the need for potentially costly "brick and mortar" retail space, salespersons, and staff, the company is optimistic regarding its potential in establishing additional partnerships in the U.S.
