New York Jordan 4 on 4 FinalistAsk a hundred artists what the taste of wine looks like, and you'll get a hundred different visions. This is precisely what venerable Sonoma County estate Jordan Vineyard & Winery did to celebrate its 40th anniversary. And to up the creative ante even further, CEO John Jordan donated $32,000 in prize money to the artists that best depicted "Jordan in the City" in four different metropolises. The competition, named Jordan 4 on 4 and co-hosted by arts foundations in each city, brought out talent from New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Dallas.

Los Angeles Grand Prize WinnerIn Los Angeles, Agna Jomantaite won the grand prize with a moody indigo-tinted streetscape, depicting Hollywood in the foreground and wine country in the rearview mirror.

LA People's Choice WinnerThe People's Choice vote in LA went to an entirely different style. A camera-roll motif on a black background appealed to Angelenos' movie-making sensibilities, while the fireworks popping from the bottle could have meant "Happy Birthday to Jordan" or "Hooray that Hollywood Bowl summers are back!"

Jordan Wine Goddess, Miami Grand Prize WinnerIt's no surprise to see that Miami's Grand Award incorporated a supple female sillhouette. The Cabernet-crimson wine goblet/sarong is an imaginative and lovely touch.

Relaxing By the Beach with JordanA beach theme was also selected as the People's Choice winner in Miami. Artist Armando Chacon brings all of wine country's favorite images to a Miami Beach backdrop: grape clusters and oak barrels represent wine country, vine-covered brick walls and a linen-draped table set for two.

Dallas People's Choice WinnerCowboy boots and Cabernet: It's a pairing that seems only natural when a great California winery visits a Lone Star culture hub. It's no surprise that this quintessentially Texan piece of art won People's Choice in Dallas. The Grand-awarded painting in Dallas was snapped up by a collector immediately after its unveiling at Rising Gallery on April 24, 2012.

Stella Chang, New York FinalistNew York is the last city to name its prize winners, and each of the five finalists selected in April brings tremendous talent to bear. Stella Chang, whose mosaic-inspired piece (pictured) is a crowd favorite, has earned praise from Vogue editrix Anna Wintour for her work in the fashion accessories industry.
