Founded as a shoe company in the early 1980s, Kenneth Cole has grown to be more than just a shoe company. Kenneth Cole is now offering up social awareness campaigns along with its three lines with various price points to dress men, women and children from head to toe. The Kenneth Cole fashion and footwear empire includes Kenneth Cole New York, Kenneth Cole Reaction and Kenneth Cole Unlisted. The initial parent line, Kenneth Cole New York, has a range of stylish staples including jeans, jackets and loafer at prices from $60 to $795. The secondary line has become a favorite of fashionable closets, offering contemporary looks at prices from $35 to $395. But in the current economy, the best bet is Kenneth Cole Unlisted, which offers the clean classic looks of the Kenneth Cole parent lines at an affordable price range of $25 to $80.
Rive Gauche by YSL Yves Saint Laurent
The late fashion designer was more than slightly ahead of his time, being amongst the first couture designers to offer a ready-to-wear line, under the name Rive Gauche, which was also the name of the boutique where the pr?t-a porter styles were sold, back in 1966. Of the collaboration debuting this fall, Rachel says, "The Rachel Rachel Roy collection is the younger sister to the Rachel Roy collection so it is quite easy to put on a different hat and design for the younger customer. She is younger and a bit edgy and I can push her a bit in areas that I can't for the Rachel Roy customer."
Poppy by Coach
One of the most popular American luxury leather goods lines available is Coach. In an effort to maintain quality and luxury even in tough economic times, the favorite brand recently released Poppy, a secondary line that has Coach's history of quality, with a more affordable price point.
