Luxury Airlines: Air Tahiti Nui is quickly building a reputation as one of the most luxurious airlines in the world. A their motto goes, The Journey to Tahiti Begins When Boarding Our Aircraft.

Air Tahiti Nui brings island flavor to travel; passengers begin their journey and board their plane to the sounds of Polynesia's legendary island music. Each guest receives a fragrant "Tiare Tahiti" gardenia, the symbol of Tahiti. Tuck it behind your left ear if you're taken, but tuck it behind your right ear if you're open for romance.

Passengers in every row also sample world-class cuisine that blends the culinary influences of the nation's Polynesian and French heritage with the local flavor of each of Air Tahiti Nui's destinations. Not your typical airline food, each meal is prepared to the standard of a five-star restaurant and designed by a staff of internationally acclaimed chefs. First and Business Class passengers can make special requests as well as enjoy a wine list with Grand Cru vintages, selected by Air Tahiti Nui's Parisian sommelier.

Aboard Air Tahiti Nui, First Class is known as Poerava First, or Black Pearl in Tahitian. With only six seats, PoeravaFirst is Air Tahiti Nui's exclusive enclave containing fully reclining sleeper seats with state-of-the-art components such as a 12-inch video screen with continual first-run movies and personal in-flight telephones. Get comfortable with a oversized pillows, blankets and soft pajamas. Each elegant meal is served on Bernardaud plates, while wines are served in Ridel glasses and caviar is served the way it should be: on unique hand crafted mother-of-pearl shell with a mother-of-pearl spoon.

The 24-seat Business Class or Club Poerava, brings island hospitality to the air, with custom-designed ocean-colored seats that provide privacy and comfort. Each seat is equipped with fully adjustable head and leg rests, personal video screens featuring first-run movies, and added spaciousness between the seats for extra room to stretch out. Each passenger can also enjoy a personal amenity bags featuring a range of products from the likes of L'Occitane and Rochas.

When you fly Air Tahiti Nui, the island experience begins well before you set foot on the sand.
