The Aeros-D1 could be the new mode of luxury air
travel by 2010. It will carry 80 to 200 passengers
and fly at altitude of 8,000 feet, which is incredible
for a vessel that it an acre en masse. It may also
serve as a luxury hotel or a flying casino-or even a
flying city. It will travel at 174 mph and be capable
of crossing the continental U.S. in approximately 18
hours. All three Aeroscrafts in development are way
beyond typical blimps, as each will require 14 million
cubic feet of helium and six turbofan jet engines to
thrust skyward or to descend to ground level.
California-based Worldwide Aeros Corporation is the
firm responsible for the development of these
innovative airships. Company founder Igor Pasternak
is the man responsible for bring this project to life.
Mr. Pasternak indicates that several cruise ship
operators and businesses have already inquired about
the availability of these remarkable vessels.
The other Aeroscrafts, the Aeros-D4 and D8, will be
used for business and military purposes, as the ships
will be capable of transporting up to 800 tons of
