Delta Air Lines is launching a partnership with Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) to enrich the dining and in-flight experience for its passengers. With the guidance of the USHG, Delta is planning to offer regionally tailored, chef-driven menus on future flights. The airline also will create BusinessElite Express Meals for its three daily flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and London-Heathrow.

"With our shared passion for celebrating culinary innovation and hospitality, Delta and Union Square Hospitality Group are natural partners," said Joanne Smith, Delta's senior vice president. "Union Square Hospitality Group is equally renowned for its food as much as its elevated level of service. We look forward to bringing the benefits of this new and inventive relationship to our customers."

Delta and Union Square Hospitality Group have a long-standing relationship, having worked together in the past at Citi Field to design the Delta Sky 360 Club. This most recent collaboration could forge the way to developing additional flight menus from other USHG restaurants. The airline is also working with Hospitality Quotient (HQ), the learning and consulting business of USHG, which will assist them in delivering even better service to their passengers.

"Like USHG, Delta believes that happy employees lead to happy 'guests'," says Susan Salgado, managing director of HQ. "Delta is an airline we have always admired for their deep roots in hospitality and their commitment to all stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on employees. This is an ideal partnership for HQ."
