Infiniti QX56 Infinitely Pleases
Luxury Vehicles: The 2008 Infiniti QX56 is loaded inside and out. It is an SUV that heavenly seats seven. Ten power settings are in place for the driver and passenger, and there are three climate zones throughout the vehicle's roomy cabin. Infiniti scores on performance, looks, interior, cargo space, technology, and safety. It is available in both two- and four-wheel drive models. The base price of the all-mode four-wheel drive model is $3,100 higher. The four-wheeler has a towing capacity of 8,900 pounds. The two-wheeler's is slightly higher at 9,000 pounds. Both QX56 versions house 320-horsepower, 5.6-liter V8 engines.

The car's cargo capacity with all seats except driver's down is more than 97 cubic feet. The second and third row seats fold down flat. The front seats can be pre-set for the preferences of two passengers, and the second row of seats has rear-climate controls and individual-heated seats. The pristine cabin interior consists of supple leather, exotic wood, and metal finishes. It is durable and attractive.
Bleeding-edge technology is found in the safety features of this luxury SUV. The brake-assistance and enhanced-control systems augment Infiniti's excellent rollover protection and advanced airbags. Laser sensors enable the car to anticipate situations requiring special braking and/or handling. The QX56's rear-view monitor and navigational system are equally impressive. Is it presumptuous of us to expect an SUV with a base price of more than $50,000 to also have dynamic entertainment and sound systems? We think not.
