Formula One Memorabilia, the World of Fascinating Toys
Autos & Vehicles: The
Monaco Grand Prix, Sydney, San Marino, Monza, to name a few ... are names you
have heard about during Formula One seasons, as well as throughout the year.
As the huge interest generated by such races is always expanding, collectible
belongings to either drivers, vehicles, or
events themselves (programs, posters,
etc..) just became the foundation of this unique market praised by collectors.
Over the years, in the memorabilia industry, the attention has been evolving to the
most expensive and exclusive items, which lead to an increase in overall sales. As
this clientele is mostly populated through the private collectors "world, many of these
enthusiasts do purchase these rare pieces for their own private museums. So the
more unique the better! Or in other words: "The more expensive the better."
These wealthy customers are to be described as a 35 to 55-year-old population,
located for the most part in the USA, Australia, UK, Mexico, Japan, and who
belong to what can be labeled as "the extreme upper-class."
If you ask some of these upscale collectibles' shop owners if there is one most popular item these days, the answer would be that there is no such one item.
However, a large interest is given to handbuilt/complex model cars. The spectacular job these scales are reflecting, especially in the upper ranges, is astonishing. As an
example of a magnificent large model we have, is a special
Mercedes SSK that
measures 35-inches long, made of 4600 parts! Only eight have been made of this breathtaking jewel.
For the collector, the exciting journey begins in knowing that no other shop will hold the same inventory. When you reach for upscale collectibles, you will be stepping on a path which can take you far away, or even search the world!
In my interview to one of the leaders of this industry, I have asked which one-of-a-kind piece is the one item you need to complete a collection today. The answer is based on interests: A Formula One fan would hold his ultimate treasure in acquiring an original race used helmet, or suit from a driver like Michael Schumacher, or Ayrton Senna. A Vintage fan would be astounded by an original Monaco Grand Prix
poster from the 1930s, or would order a handbuilt model of one of his favourite
classics. And for the
Ferrari aficionado, a vintage Ferrari timepiece, or something
signed by Enzo himself would trigger pure bliss.
The magic of this industry is its uniqueness targeting exclusively the rare and exceptional merchandise available on today's market. So there is a lot to discover, and a lot to look for. But here is a hint: some of these hidden treasures can be found on The Memorabilia Experience's Web site, dedicated to one of the largest inventories for F1 collectibles in North America.
