Eleanor Mustang: A "Moving" Star

Luxury Cars: Do you remember Eleanor from the movie Gone In 60 Seconds? The film, which is a remake of a 1974 film of the same title, is a taut action-packed fare about a car-stealing network starring Nicholas Cage, Angelina Jolie, Giovanni Ribisi and Delroy Lindo. Cage's character, Memphis Raines, is a retired master car thief who must return to the game to save his younger brother from getting killed by another ring of automobile snatchers for botching a job. Memphis must steal 50 cars in one night to get his bro off the hook.

Although Eleanor is not a character in the movie, "she" is a bona fide superstar car. Eleanor is a supremely modified custom-built 1967 Mustang Fastback that is yours for the asking through Classic Recreations in Yukon, Okla. This is the officially licensed Gone in 60 Seconds Eleanor Mustang.

The magnificent Mustang is offered with two engine options. Each model has vroom to spare. There is the 535-horsepower FI model and the supercharged 750-horspower FIS model. Aside from the engines, the FIS model has a modified rear suspension as well. Special options include an automatic overdrive transmission, a full-leather interior package, a keyless-entry system, and a DVD player with an in-dash screen. There is even a right-hand drive version available.

The vehicle is presented in five dazzling color combinations. The base price for the FI model is $139,900, and the FIS model starts at $189,900. This is an opportunity to drive a true "moving" star. Visit the Gone in 60 Seconds Eleanor Mustang at Classic-Recreations.com
