 Luxury Supercars: The Gumpert Apollo, the car with the fastest track time on the BBC's hit TV show Top Gear is available in America. Evolution MotorSports will be the official U.S. assembly and performance and validation center for the supercar. The customized sports car was recently featured on an episode of Top Gear, where it was touted as the fastest car to go around their test track over the last few seasons.
The selection of Evolution MotorSports was an easy choice. Evolution MotorSports' dedication to providing an excellent finished product, attention to detail and customer service has no rival that could come close to providing the finished product required, per Gumpert representatives in a recent press release.
In the same press release, Todd Zuccone, founder of Evolution MotorSports conveyed, "All we do are insanely tuned luxury exotics. We examined the Gumpert Apollo and I knew that EVOMS was the correct choice for performance validation. [It is] something Evolution MotorSports customers have known for a long time. We [were] honored to have been selected by the Gumpert team."
A 4.2-liter L V8 Audi engine that produces 650 horsepower with a maximum torque of 627 lb-ft powers the vaunted supercar, which accelerates from zero to 100 km (62 mph) in three seconds and has a top speed of 224 mph. The Gumpert Apollo will be available in three trim options: Street, GT or Race Car Configuration.
According to Zuccone the Gumpert Apollo will cost $400,000, excluding options and other features, as reported by eGM CarTech. Huntington, Beach, Calif.-based European Touch is the exclusive authorized dealer and distributor in North America.
