Luxury RVs: Featherlite Luxury Coaches has been
manufacturing luxury coaches from its Sanford,
Florida, plant since the mid-1990s. The firm is the
official coach provider of NASCAR, Grand AM Road
Racing, and Super Boat International plus it is the
favorite of numerous lovers of extravagantly luxurious
RVs. The luxury coaches are made from Featherlite
Vantaré H3-45s and Vantaré XLIIs. Both of these models
are Prevost Bus' shell conversions. All buyers are
encouraged to actively participate in the designing of
their vehicle from inception, as there are over 200
features (goodies) from which to select.
Buyers can choose from various exotic stones, marbles,
leathers, and woods when contemplating the interior
layout. Slide-outs are usually added on both sides to
expand the space in the RV. A mini-gym and a 50-inch
flat-screen plasma television can be built-in along
with standards that include lavish baths, kitchens,
dining areas and sleeping quarters. It is amazing how
much can be packed into these coaches. Original ideas
from buyers are encouraged, as Featherlite is always
willing to do something new to accommodate buyers'
desires.
Aside from completely customized luxury RVs, new and
previously owned models are available too. Gizmag.com
and BusinessWeekonline reported that a customized Featherlite Vantaré Platinum Plus recently sold for
$2.5 million, making it the most expensive luxury
RV ever sold. How long it retains that distinction is
another story, which is tomorrow's article. (It is
amazing how this stuff works, isn't it?)
Visit Featherlite's website to see all of its luxury
recreational vehicles.
