 Luxury Autos: The hand-built Spyker C8 Spyder has been turning heads since its introduction in 2000. The two-seat, mid-engine convertible is made from lightweight aluminum. Its Koni F1-style shock absorbers provide stability and are easily adjustable to accommodate a wide range of preferences for drivers. The C8 Spyder goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and tops out at 187 mph. The exclusive sports car comes in either a six-speed manual or a six-speed-sequential transmission. 4.2 liter, V-8 that generates 400 brake horsepower(bhp).
A hardtop version of the C8 Spyder also is available. The length of car is nearly 14 feet, while the width is 74 inches. Its height is low at 42 inches, and it weighs in at 2,204 pounds. The C8 is delivered with forged ATS alloy wheels (19 inches), and it sits on 18-inch tires. Magnesium Spyker 19-inch Aeroblade wheels are optional.
The C8 Spyder is manufactured on a per-order basis at Spyker's ultra-modern Zeewolde, Netherlands, manufacturing site. A curious soon-to-be owner can watch the step-by-step manufacturing of their new car through an innovative web-cam setup.
The Spyker C8 Spyder is available at New England's premier sports-car dealership, the Lotus Motorsports/Aston Martin of New England. The prestigious dealership, which offers a boutique-like
