Luxury Car Clubs: The Ferrari Club of America is a must-join organization for both owners and enthusiasts of Ferraris. The club has 28 active chapters throughout North America. Members of the festive group can attend rallies, concours, and social events. The FCA also has classified listings and a technical discussion board. Topics run the gamut from V-12s to V-8s to maintenance schedules to mechanical and electrical issues. It is a place where everything Ferrari goes. Where else are distraught owners going to find any empathy or support when their sick "baby" is at the garage being serviced? The FCA even has racecar-driving-school referrals available where owners can hone their driving expertise or take their "prancing horse" onto a track for a few spirited laps.
The Ferrari Club of America has nearly 5,000 members. It offers a limited number of sponsorship opportunities for members to inform other members about their businesses. The club's website has myriad links to various Ferrari-related services and activities. Find the best places for service and maintenance; locate insurance carriers; visit official Ferrari websites; secure Ferrari collectibles; unearth renowned restoration centers and recommended dealerships; or tap into Ferrari racing sites, international clubs and organizations. The club publishes a news bulletin and, although not steadily, the Prancing Horse magazine. The PH has been in print since 1964 and has 156 editions. The first 150 editions can be downloaded from the FCA's website. The first chapter of the esteemed club was incorporated in 1962 and is located in Illinois. Over the years the organization has been an avid supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The FCA has an Annual Meet (huge party!), which is a five-day affair that includes rallies, competitions, races, and nightly social gatherings. Upcoming 2006 events still on the calendar include the Ride and Drive to Monterey (August 17); the Concorso Italiano (August 18); the Lake Geneva Rally (August 26); the Classic Coach Classic at Watkins Glen (September 1-3); and the Virginia City Hillclimb (September 15-17). Complete details for events is available on the club's website.
The Ferrari Club of America is sure to get your motor revving. Yearly memberships are very affordable too!
