The World: Condo Living and a World of Cruising
Luxury Residence Clubs: You could live vicariously through others by watching the Travel Channel or you could experience it all for yourself as a resident or guest on board The World, the only private luxury community at sea. The World offers even more personalized attention than the most prestigious commercial cruise ships and visits more ports of call and stays longer at each destination than any traditional cruise line.
For sale originally were 106 apartments, 19 studio apartments and 40 studios, with square footage starting at 675 for studios and maxing out at 3,242 for a three bedroom apartment with optional jet pool. With the exception of studios, which have more limited amenities, The World's residential accommodations include fully-equipped kitchens, living room, veranda and all furniture and audio/video equipment.
In 2004 The World visited 136 ports in 54 countries on five continents, with emphasis on Greece and Mediterranean coastal cities. While in port, guests can participate in organized shore excursions or do as they please for two and a half days (the average time at each destination).
At sea, you can take in a live show or movie, kick back in one of the lounges or bars; take a cooking or photography class, perfect your golf game with The World's golf simulator; challenge a fellow guest to a game of tennis on the full-size tennis court or relax in the spa or fit in a workout. You could always take it easy in your own immaculately designed private quarters.
