Tallus ownership starts at around $795,000 with the first construction phase slated for Spring 2006. Choose between three distinct home models, all with views of Mammoth Mountain. How does it work? Owners receive 1/6th deeded ownership, evidenced by a recorded deed and guaranteed by title insurance, for the home of their choosing. Common structures and areas (like the Clubhouse, road and Nature Preserve) are owned and shared by all Tallus owners. You can do away with any thoughts about timeshare. Timeshare owners usually own weeks of usage, not ownership of deeded real estate. So, if other six other people own a fraction of your house, will you really get the true benefit of a vacation home? Absolutely!
You can stay at your vacation home as much as you want based on availability and in accordance with the Club's Reservation Policies & Procedures.
Okay, so that last part sounded like a catch but that's legalese for ya. Here's the real deal: right off the bat, owners can reserve five weeks of "Planned Reservations" every year. With six owners per home, 30 out of 52 weeks can be reserved, leaving 22 weeks for, you guessed it, unplanned reservations. Owners can reserve additional days and weeks during this extra time on a space available and/or short notice basis. What's more, Tallus owners can make reservations in any of the 19 homes in the community during the 22 weeks set aside for impromptu trips--so, that's 418 weeks of extra times when you can book a stay.
