The most outstanding feature of U'Luvka Vodka (beyond the twisty name) is the unusually shaped bottle, which adds a new talking point to your bar
The "twisted teardrop" shaped bottle is meant to the catch eye, and is meant to be a synergy of both male and female, just as the brand's logo is a synergy of symbols for man, woman, sun and moon.
The fun part of the gift set is the adorable glasses, with twisty stems and no bases, "elegant, 17th century-inspired shot glasses (the glass is a Polish traditional one called U'luvka) meant to be hand held: drinking in friendship, one held one's glass until all vodka was consumed."
Legend has it that the 17th century, Polish-court inspired U'Luvka Vodka is hangover proof, but I'm not sure I would test the truth of the legend on a work-night. Although this recipe makes calling in late worth it:
"Solomon's Seal" - recipe from Colin Asare-Appiah
Solomon's Seal is known as The Star of The Wise, a six pointed star, two overlapping equal triangles that map the position of the major stars of the heavens. It symbolizes the union of fire and water, heaven and earth, two becoming one. This cocktail has six ingredients mirroring the six points of the star.
- 2 oz U'Luvka Vodka
- ˝ oz Lemon Juice
- ˝ oz Sirop de Gomme - This adds dimension to the cocktail - can purchase online or at gourmet stores - but Simple Syrup or Sugar Syrup can be substituted
- 1 oz Raspberry Puree

- Soda Water
Shake the first five ingredients on rock ice and strain into an ice filled highball. Top with soda water and garnish with fresh raspberries.
