Premium Tequila by DeLeon Available in U.S.

Food & Spirits: DeLeon Tequila is a premium tequila that was produced exclusively by a wealthy Mexican family in Purisima del Rincon for decades. In 2008, DeLeon Tequila made its tequila available in the U.S. in very limited quantities.

DeLeon Anejo became available in November in limited quantities in both New York and Los Angeles. The tequila is double-distilled and aged in French barrels for 17 months to achieve its distinct "cognac-like" taste. From its skulls and snakes decorative gold-cap to the thick French glass decanter, this tequila rocks royally with attitude that is supported by its superior quality.

In a review by Examiner.com's spirits columnist Robert Haynes-Peterson, he stated that DeLeon Anejo is well-balanced with hints of soft butter and white butter on the approach, and a mild, sweet jalapeno finish that leaves you craving the next sip.

The limited quantity DeLeon Anejo is available in a 750 ml bottle and priced at around $175.
