Special Cocktail Recipes for National Rum Day

Today is National Rum Day and we'd expect any of our serious spirits fans to know that. However, even if you didn't know what day it was, now you have a great excuse to have a little afternoon drink to celebrate! To help you with your celebratory evening we've arranged some great Rum Day Cocktails for you to try out. Make sure to let us know your favorite!

Cruzan® Chocolate Covered Cherry

Ingredients:
  • 2 parts Cruzan® Black Cherry Rum
  • 1 part Cruzan® Vanilla Rum
  • 1/2 part Chocolate Syrup
  • 1 part Milk
  • Splash Grenadine
Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender with 1/2 cup of ice and blend until smooth. Pour into a chilled glass drizzled with chocolate sauce. Top with whipped cream and garnish with a cherry.

Mango Pez

Ingredients:
  • 1 bottle Bacardi Superior
  • 5 whole fresh mangos
  • 2 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 1 quart mango juice
  • 1/2 bottle of Prosecco
  • 1 container of blueberries
The Perfect Storm

Ingredients
  • 2 parts Sailor Jerry
  • Ginger beer
  • 2/3 lime wedges

Black Spiked Cocoa Rumtini

Ingredients
  • 1 1Ž2 oz Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum
  • 1Ž2 oz chocolate syrup
  • 1Ž2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 1Ž2 Rum chata
  • Pinch of Cayenne Pepper
  • 1Ž4 tsp orange zest
Directions:

Combine Captain Morgan Black spiced Rum, chocolate syrup, simple syrup, and orange zest in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a martini glass.

In another shaker, combine cayenne pepper and Rum Chata, shake, and layer into martini glass off the back of a spoon on top of the Rum mixture.

Garnish with an orange twist, sprinkle of cayenne, and a piece of gold leaf.

Haven Mojito

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz Bacardi Rum
  • 1 oz St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
  • Muddled Fresh Mint
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1Ž4 of a lemon
Directions:

Muddle fresh mint, sugar, and lemon. Combine Rum and Elderflower with ice and then shake.

Serve in a tall glass.

Cali Ginger

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz Caliche Rum
  • ¼ Agave Nectar
  • ¾ Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Top with Ginger Beer
Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice until well chilled. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass and top with Ginger Beer.

Cali Mojito

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz Caliche Rum
  • 1oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • ¼ oz Agave Nectar
  • 8 Mint Leaves
  • Crushed ice on topGarnish: Mint Sprig
Directions:

In a mixing glass, lightly muddle the mint. Add the remaining ingredients, fill with ice, and shake until well chilled. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass, top with the crushed ice, and garnish.
