 Luxury Yacht Builders: Grand Banks Yachts is named after one of the richest fishing areas of the world, the Grand Banks, located between Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. The shipbuilder's position in the boating industry is quite prominent, boasting three lines and 17 models over a 50-plus year history. Its latest offering is the Grand Banks 45 Eastbay SX. With a beam of 14.5 feet, the two-cabin 45-foot-long ship has both a large master stateroom and a spacious enclosed saloon. The standard twin 455-horsepower engine gives the 45 Eastbay SX a maximum cruising speed of 26 knots. With the latest model, the Eastbay series now consists of six yachts. All models feature modified deep-V hulls, teak interiors, and granite tabletops.
The Heritage and the Aleutian series also are made by Grand Banks Yachts. There are five Heritages and three Aleutians ships. The Heritage series was the first line developed by the company. The Aleutians, which are the largest GB yachts, have a maximum cruising speed of 27 knots. The Eastbays are the fastest with a maximum cruising speed of 30 knots, while the Heritages' maximum cruising speed is 22 knots. Historically, all three series have great resale value.
