Luxury Boats: Bliss Boats has a 35-foot Stan-Craft 2004 Starchaser for sale. It is one of the most beautiful wooden speedboats ever made. On a sunny day, the resplendent, mahogany-built boat glistens and shimmers as it smoothly skips across the water. The 7,000-pound Starchaser is as beautiful as it is rugged. It is impressive in the performance department too, being both powerful and smooth. Twin 420-horsepower MerCruiser engines, a CMI exhaust, and ZF transmissions provide power enough for the speedy Starchaser to cut across the water at 50 mph.
With two rows of seats and a concealed three-person rumble seat, the Starchaser seats up to 10 passengers. The "woody" has dove-color stripes and matching interior, a full-brass trim and a 3,000-watt 16-speaker sound system. Additionally, the boat comes with a full cover, a bow thruster, an automatic oil-changing system, a spare set of props, and a triple-axle trailer.
What makes this 2004 Starchaser even more compelling is that there are only two of these beauties ever made. Actually, it is safe to say that all boats by the Stan-Craft Boat Company are limited editions, as the company builds just six to eight units annually. The firm has meticulously produced mahogany-wood speedboats in such a manner since 1933. It is a tedious process that takes approximately 1,000 hours or six months to produce one boat. The price range of a Stan-Craft boat is $115,000 to $400,000. Models are built from 22 to 35 feet.
The 2004 Stan-Craft Starchaser is offered at $275,000. Check out the video on the Bliss Boat Web site. The piece aired on the Travel Channel's Extreme Boats! Show. It features Richard Brooke and Syd Young, the owners of Bliss Boats, and Stan-Craft Boat Company, respectively.
