Home Entertainment: It is so hard to keep up with home-entertainment technology these days. It is nearly an everyday occurrence that consumer electronics manufacturers are announcing the "newest" latest technological advancement. When you couple the those announcements with a manual's worth of industry-exclusive terms and acronyms, it is enough to make consumers so overwhelmed that they just want to just run back to their caves and draw pictures on the walls to entertain themselves. Determining which wide-screen television is best can be a daunting task.

Pioneer's Elite television line has numerous features that are described with heavy-duty techno-terms as well. But when a company of Pioneer Electronics' stature says its product is "elite," there is a 65-year-plus history of quality behind the brand that readily piques people's interest. A 60-inch-wide screen that provides a stunningly clear picture quality is an attention-grabbing feature that speaks for itself. And when you segue to the bottom line, this is what Pioneer's Elite line is all about.

The Pioneer Elite television line offers four televisions. The PRO-150FD is the largest of the televisions with a 60-inch screen. It has a picture akin to a theater-size screen with 1080p resolution 1920 x 1080 and a 16:9 wide-screen aspect ratio. The television's aspect-ratio control has six settings. Once this television is turned on, it has various built-in intelligent features that maintain a perfect picture regardless of room conditions or broadcast quality. The televisions also come with a V-chip to provide parents with total control over content.

The Pioneer Elite models offer the latest in panel technology and support numerous audio, video, and photo formats. The "smart" line has six A/V options, a natural resize, a natural picture enhancer, and a fully integrated media receiver. There also is a complete color-management and a noise-reduction system along with six A/V settings. Additionally, the units have split screen/picture in picture and a 160-degree-wide viewing angle.

Pioneer Electronics also has car audio/video products, navigational systems, business products, and professional DJ equipment and accessories. The firm's Web site has complete information on many audio and video products. It is a great place to view and learn more about the full range of home-entertainment items available today.
