BlackBerry 7130g Premieres in UK
Luxury Electronics: If home is where the heart is, then the office must be where the worker is these days. That appears to be the underlying message delivered by BlackBerry's newly released 7130g. It draws a little from the old and a lot from the newest technology for mobile communication devices. The 7130g caters predominantly to mobile professionals who prefer a traditional handheld phone but require easy and immediate access to data wherever they happen to be.
It is sleek and very easy to operate. For easier text messaging, there are only two letters on the keypad instead of three. The unit contains a 312MHz Intel XScale processor combined with 64MB of Flash memory and 16MB SDRAM. Its color screen adjusts automatically to ambient light, which provides an optimal display both indoors and outdoors. The unit provides fast Internet action, rapid activation of applications and viewing of attachments. As one might expect in such a unit, conference calls, speed-dialing, smart-dialing, and call-forwarding also are included.
The 7130g can be used with the BlackBerry Internet Service for individuals and small business users, while BlackBerry for Enterprise is for larger companies. BlackBerry has teamed up with O2, which is among the leading providers of mobile services in the UK and Ireland, for the initial product launch.
Research In Motion (RIM), which is a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of innovative wireless solutions, teamed with BlackBerry to develop the 7130 g.
See BlackBerry's website for all details on the 7130g and all of the firm's other products and services.
