Epson Launches Home Theater Projectors for Custom AV Installers

Luxury Electronics: Epson introduced two new high-performance home-theater projectors to the market from its booth at CEDIA 2010. Both the Pro Cinema 9350 and the 9700 UB 1080p projectors offer Epson's latest technology and are made to meet the demands of professional installers.

"Today's home theater market is extremely competitive, and Epson is committed to developing high-quality, high-performing products that help the custom installation channel stay ahead of the game," said Marge Ang, senior product manager, Epson America. "We are continuing to pack our Pro Cinema projectors with a slew of value-add features, technology and service in order to deliver the programs and initiatives dealers need to help drive sales."

The Epson Pro Cinema 9350 enables a personalized home-entertainment solution with its contrast ratio of 50,000: 1 and higher brightness of up to 2,000 lumen color and white-light output. The system also boasts an exclusive dynamic iris system, which improves contrast by controlling light on a frame-by-frame at up to 60 times per second.

Epson calls the Pro Cinema 9700 UB the "ultimate solution in image quality for installers." The projector has excellent black levels and vivid images with a brightness of 1,600 lumen and white-light output.

Epson America is a U.S. affiliate of the Seiko Epson Corporation. The firm employs more than 70,000 people in 106 countries.
