Tetra Shed Creates Geometric Solution For Additional Home Space

Initially designed as a solution to the growing number of home offices, Innovation Imperative's Tetra Shed is actually a multifunctional space maker. Challenging the notion that a home office is a converted room in a home, Tetra Shed is a modular system that offers a creative take on the cube-style home offices that have crept up recently. Tetra Shed is meant for the outdoors as a "garden office," large enough to accommodate 2 people comfortably. However, Innovation Imperative notes that it can also be used as single studio space, kiosk, ticket office, information point, beach hut or tree house.

Although Tetra Sheds look like complex geographical spaces, they are actually deceptively simple and designed to comply with Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) which aids the construction industry in making structures cheaper, better and easier to build. Tetra Shed is comprised of engineered timber clad with matte black rubber and lined with birch faced plywood. Each one can be customized with cladding colors and finishes; it is designed to be flexible to meet different needs.

If more than one Tetra Shed is used, they can be combined to be used for public purposes such as classrooms or teaching spaces, home extensions, separate living accommodations, as a home gym, music room, exhibition or retail space, or as a facility for corporate events, tourism, or leisure. Tetra Shed will be on display at Grand Designs Live London, from Saturday 5th to Sunday 13th May 2012 at ExCeL London.
