If you've always wanted to brag about living in the most expensive home in the United States, now is your chance…assuming you have $190 million laying around and want to live in Greenwich, Connecticut. According to The Wall Street Journal, this 50.5-acre French-renaissance residence was put on the market last Friday and is now the priciest U.S. home on the market. Considering the deal includes 4,000 feet of water frontage, two offshore islands and 50 acres of land, we're not really surprised at the steep price tag.

The Victorian manor, called Copper Beech Farm, was built in 1898 and was apparently once owned by the Lauder Greenway family (they had a hand in Andrew Carnegie's beginning steel business), featuring 15,000 square feet of living space, 7,000 square feet of basement and attic space, ten carved fireplaces, and a solarium. There are also 12 bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, two half baths, a library, wine cellar, and a whole floor designated for staff alone. The design includes 12-foot ceilings, balconies, large windows and porches enclosed by glass, and a panoramic Long Island Sound view. The land is the main draw of the property, representing 70 percent of the value, outside you'll be pleased to find a grass tennis court, formal gardens, a carriage house, two greenhouses, a 75-foot-long pool and an apple orchard.
