The futuristic, architecturally important mid-century estate in Palm Springs where Elvis and Priscilla Presley spent their honeymoon in 1967 has been listed for sale at $9.5 million. Called the "The House of Tomorrow" in 1962 by Look Magazine, the luxury home is being brokered by Josh Altman, star of Bravo's Million Dollar Listing, through Hilton & Hyland.

The 5,000-square-foot home is nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, with panoramic views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and the Coachella Valley. With four bedrooms and five baths, the modernist masterpiece was designed in four perfect circles on three levels, incorporating glass and “peanut brittle” stonework to maximize indoor-outdoor living. Though the lot is not terribly large, the property features a pool, private garden, tennis court, fruit orchard and a small stage where The King no doubt serenaded his queen.

Built in 1960 for prominent Palm Springs developer Robert Alexander and his wife Helence, the house was recently restored to its original 1960s splendor (including modernist and Art Deco furnishings). Elvis first leased the estate in 1966 at a cost of $21,000 per year. Several movies have been filmed at the estate, including scenes from Elvis & Me and the documentary Elvis by the Presleys, starring Priscilla Presley. Minutes from Palm Springs International Airport and downtown, it's equally appealing to both Elvis and architecture fanatics.
