This High-Rise Has Private Pools in Every Unit and a Giant Fabergé Egg at Its Center

The 30-story Bandra Ohm high-rise in Mumbai might be one of our favorite new luxury residential buildings, and it's not even a physical reality yet. With its soft rounded silhouette that looks more like an art piece than a tower of condos, Hong Kong-based James Law Cybertecture designed the Bandra Ohm with water in mind: "The design concept of the tower is inspired by the ripple effect generated by water droplets, which is also known as the capillary wave." Even the crescent-shaped balcony pools (which come with every unit) use the same acrylic material that is utilized in large-scale aquariums.

The balcony swimming pools are on the small side, but we doubt they will be the only swimming opportunities for residents, since they seem to act as more of a relaxation space to take in the view than anything else. Though the 100-unit building certainly isn't the only development that plans on giving each home its own private pool, it's the only one with a pod-like clubhouse in the center.

"The ripple effect usually generates a vortex-like space in the center. The tower design is trying to recapture the essence of this space by creating a large void in the middle along with a special designed clubhouse form." Personally, we think it looks like a giant Fabergé egg, which is pretty dang cool.
