If you weren’t in attendance at April’s Design Week in Milan you may not know about Rossato’s newest Home Collection, which was designed by Hangar Design Group. Starring the highly customizable Hampton cabinet and the Carlton chair, the collection may be brief, but each furniture piece is geometrically stylish enough to stand on its own.
"What defines Rossato and what defines [...] the latest Home Collection,” Mr. Alessandro Aduso Rossato, Chairman of Rossato, recently told JustLuxe, “is the ability to mix our extraordinary craftsmanship expertise with the choice of materials used. This allows us to tailor-make the most ambitious projects: from wood to glass, from metals to fabrics, from marble to leather, and even to the use of gold. In this way each of our masterpieces can be customized according to our clientele's wishes."
Hampton was designed with a vintage flair, featuring a geometric pattern woven with strips of oak wood that gives a very Art Deco feel. Carlton blends wood veneered walnut with leather and metal, and gives two color options: a pale cream leather seat with brushed metal or an ivory seat with smoke gray metal.
“Everything that we create requires a detailed manual operation,” Rossato explained. “So at the end we deliver something that is unique, a one-of-a-kind piece, which is hand-made and it distinguishes itself [with] the use of precious materials."
Rossato will produce the designs in pretty much whatever material you would like—including the addition of gold. Naturally, with collections such as this, the price is generally defined at the time of purchase because of the level of customization that is offered with each piece.
