This Bhutanese Textile May Help You Live a Long Life

Dara Artisans recently launched a brand new collection called Bhutan for the Collector, which highlights unique one-of-a-kind textiles that have been woven by artisans in Bhutan. Made exclusively for Dara, the colorful museum-quality textiles can be presented in a variety of ways, from being hung on a wall as a work of art to being draped over a table. With prices ranging from $1,100 to $4,900, the collection includes eight complex designs (though the eighth is sold out already) with beautifully detailed patterns and colors. Our personal favorite is the bright Jadrima Patchwork Triangle Textile ($3,100), which can be seen in the middle of the above photo. According to Dara, the pattern features “traditional symbology with patchwork triangles, which are associated with long life.” Considering this is the type of artwork that is handed down for generations, we hope the long life extends to the textile as well.
