A new luxury housing development on Mount Nicholson in Hong Kong is officially on its way. Wheelock Properties, The Wharf Limited and Nan Fung Group recently announced that the new project, aptly named after the mountain, will be created in three phases. Conceived to take advantage of a large plot of land overlooking Victoria Harbor, the residential community will be the only one on Mount Nicholson Road within The Peak, an affluent area regarded for its amazing skyline views.
“Mount Nicholson is located in the most sought-after location on The Peak in Hong Kong, where the land supply is incredibly rare,” says Mr. Ricky Wong, Managing Director of Wheelock Properties (Hong Kong). “Our international design team has spared no effect to build an international grade project. Mount Nicholson is set to become a main focus in Hong Kong’s property market this year.”
To craft these homes will be “a premier team of internationally renowned architects as well as interior and landscape designers,” including Robert Stern, David Collins, Yabu Pushelberg, and Alexandra Champalimaud. With only these renderings to work from, it looks like Mount Nicholson will be heavily inspired by Italian seaside buildings and French architecture.
Though an official completion date hasn’t been released, Wheelock Properties promises that the launch date is coming soon.
