Our favorite environmentally-conscious luxury linen brand has officially entered into the world of babies with their newest line of bedding and as usual, they’re making some pretty big statements. With sweatshops and child labor still incredibly prevalent in the world, it is important to know where your purchases come from, especially if they are for your children. Created to be “as sweet and pure as the children who will use the products,” Boll & Branch’s new collection is officially the first baby-specific bedding line to be certified Fair Trade USA and that’s pretty cool.
Just like their adult sheets and towels, these crib sheets and baby blankets are 100 percent certified organic cotton that you can feel good about handing over to your kids. "As a mom, I never liked having to choose between the styles I love and organic materials that I felt were safer for my daughters,” Boll & Branch CEO Missy Tannen told us recently. “From the day we started Boll & Branch, I had always planned to create a line so that moms today can have it both ways." Made in fair and paid conditions, harsh chemicals and pesticides have had no part of their construction, and that includes the cotton plants.
The crib sheets are available in four different styles (three prints and one solid) and range in color from white to a dark blue. Personally, our favorite sheet is the Cottontail pattern ($45), which features little graphite bunnies lined up in a row. Though we also love that the Trellis design was created to have imperfect lines, giving them a unique, homemade touch. The baby blankets ($50) come in a cable knit style and a flat weave Origami design, each coming in a range of soft, baby-approved colors.
