 Designer Jewelry: Rock the Boat, an exhibition of the world's finest in haute and vintage jewelry, rare timepieces, modern and contemporary art, and 20th-21st century design, is scheduled to take place November 29. The gala opening, which is co-sponsored by Florida Design Magazine, coincides with Miami Basel, America's leading international art fair.
The event will be put on by SeaFair, which operates the extravagant $40 million megayacht exhibition. Both world renowned and contemporary jewelers will be on site showcasing their designs. Designers scheduled to attend include Graff (London, New York, Palm Beach, Bal Harbor, Moscow), Chaumet of LVMH (Paris, Toyko, Geneva, Kuwait, Moscow, Taipei, Osaka, Dubai), Judith Ripka Creations
(Altanta, Aspen, New York, Chicago, Bal Harbor), deLaCour Watches (Geneva, Scottsdale, Beverly Hills), Hancock's Fine Estate Jewelry (London), John Galliano by Valente,( Milan), Staurino Fratelli (Valenza), Rosato Gioielli (Arezzo), Silver Fund- George Jensen 20th Century Silver (London and San Francisco), Martin du Louvre Modern and Contemporary Art (Paris), and other leading design and art galleries.
Highlights of the event include:
Nov. 29, 7-11 p.m. - Vernissage Champagne Opening Night
Dec. 1, 6-8 p.m. - Cocktail Party sponsored by the Florida Luxury Council Chapter
Dec. 2, 6-8 p.m. - Alliance Francaise and the French American Chamber of Commerce Honor Chaumet, one of the oldest jewelry design houses in France. As well, the French Cultural Council sponsors a book signing by French performance artist ORLAN
Dec. 4, 6-9 p.m. - ART, FASHION, AND MUSIC to benefit The Women's Fund of Miami Dade County, Performance by Big Bounce
Dec. 5, 7-9 p.m. - Florida International Sponsored Cocktail Party and private dinner
Dec. 6, 6-9 p.m. - Cocktail Party Benefiting the Carma Foundation, performance by Milky Jean
