Aim for the Valhalla Shooting Club & Training Center
Luxury Adventures The Valhalla Shooting Club & Training Center began as a value-added feature to the luxurious Elk Mountain Resort, which is located about 30 minutes away from Telluride, Colorado. The shooting club has outdoor clay-target shooting areas and an indoor gun range. The inside range houses what many users consider the greatest interactive video game available today, as it contains numerous shooting scenarios involving 3-D, automated and reactive targets. Instructors take clients (shooters) through a variety of simulated yet very stimulating conditions.
The simulated situations are incredibly lifelike in how the action unfolds before a shooter. A situation might break out in a nightclub/lounge setting or in a dark, sinewy alley; or armed terrorists might be rushing out of the cockpit of an airplane in flight with weapons brandished and the shooter is faced with defusing a hijacking of a commercial flight.
As safety is the top priority in such an environment, new shooters use SoftAir pistols that fire 6mm plastic BBs, eliminating the risk of injury to themselves and others. Advanced shooters are permitted to use any pistol they desire up to a .44 magnum-caliber pistol (which is a Dirty Harry Special). The range or distance of the targets can be very challenging, as some are more than 75 feet away. Complete gun-safety training is also offered from the club's master instructors.
Here is a nice bonus perk that is somewhat "outside of the box." This all takes place within the confines of a patently luxurious five-star mountain resort. It definitely has the makings of an all-inclusive stunning getaway. And if a certifying testimonial is needed to close the deal, the Valhalla Shooting Club & Training Center was named one of the Robb Report's Six Most Essential Memberships in 2004. This is a good one to target. Give it a shot.
