Robotic lawnmowers: This is a fully automated lawn-care system. The robotic device cuts grass in the same manner as a typical gas -- or electric -- powered lawn mower. A Robomow® lawnmower can be programmed to depart from its base, mow the lawn, and then return to its charging station on a regular schedule. It also has numerous safety features to ensure safety around children and pets. It also has an anti-theft system built into it.
The mulching-system mowers come in four models that is based upon size of lawns. The two heavy-duty machines have a three-blade system, and the models recommended for smaller spaces have one blade. The smallest unit cuts up to 2,700 square feet of lawn, while the largest unit can handle with ease a lawn of more than 17,000 square feet.
Tens of thousand of units have been sold to customers worldwide. Robomow wants consumers to see its lawn-mowing systems as a more efficient alternative product and not as luxury item. While the manufacturer's point of view is understandable, it would be hard to sell any man who has had to cut grass on a hot day that this is not a luxury product.
