 Luxury Leisure: Storied menswear brand Brooks Brothers has come out with a stunning range of accessories finished in genuine alligator and crocodile skin, some matching, some complimentary, that go way beyond the usual offering of wallets, belts and loafers. The five standout pieces consist of a Crocodile Weekender duffel bag (above); matching Crocodile Flap Briefcase; a Crocodile Travel Bag (Dopp kitt); an Alligator Journal; and an Alligator Eyeglass Case. The bags feature brass hardware and the top grade skins are designed to be hard-wearing.
The Weekender retails for $15,000; the Briefcase for $10,000; the Travel Bag for $3,000; the Journal for $3,000; and the Eyeglass Case for $1,000. Altogether the five pieces come to $32,000. The collection builds on Brooks' intention to expand its classic men's offerings beyond the traditional into practical, elegant luxury. It continues in the vein of such innovations as the exclusive Black Fleece collection designed by Thom Browne for the famed firm founded in 1818. Of course they still carry the alligator wallets, belts and loafers as well if those are more your speed.
