Sports Collectibles: Here are some instantly classic major-league gifts for baseball aficionados and collectors of sports mementos that are sure to be homeruns –– especially for Yankee fans. Steiner Sports is offering a collection of souvenirs from the 2009 World Series that pays tribute to the 2009 world champions NY Yankees.

There are more than 75 items available to commemorate the Yankees organization winning its 27th World Series title, the most championships won by any professional-sports team in North America. A baseball bat, a baseball, a replica home jersey and two photographs with the autographs the entire 2009 NY Yankees team are the five top items of the collection. While having a team-autographed bat or ball may be viewed as priceless, the cost of these two items is $4,499.99 and $3,499.99, respectively.

Autographed replica home-team jerseys of Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, CC Sabathia, Joba Chamberlain, and Andy Pettitte also are available. There are several photographs of the quartet of Yankees who were members of the team during its last championship season of 2009. The “Core of Four” includes Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, and Andy Pettitte. Additionally, there are autographed baseballs, framed line-up cards, and photos signed by individual team members, such as Mark Teixeria and the aforementioned Rodriguez, Jeter, Chamberlain, and Rivera.

If you are looking to for some dirt from the Yankees, there is plenty of that to go around too. Two commemorative crystals with the Yankees’ trademarked logos and actual dirt from the infield of Yankees Stadium are on sale as well as framed line-up cards with photo collages containing soil walked on by the hallowed Yankees.

While these sports collectibles would enhance any collector’s collection of baseball memorabilia, we recommend you think twice if the collector on your list happens to be a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Steiner Sports also has similar souvenirs and mementos available from all the other teams of Major League Baseball. For more information, visit SteinerSports.com.
