Rev up those engines at the 25th Anniversary Great Race, scheduled from June 30 to July 14, 2007. The 4,000-mile race begins in Concord, North Carolina, and ends in Southern California. Classics, muscle cars, Hot Rods, and even hybrids can participate in the two-week long race to the finish line. You can show off your set of wheels by participating in the Innovation Cup. Race teams must adhere to specific course instructions while driving at precise speeds. Scoring is based on a 50/50 ratio of fuel efficiency and precision driving. Unlike Nascar, where it's all about the speed, the Innovation Cup judges how well your vehicle stands up to real-world conditions. A limited number of teams will take home the glory and share a $25,000 purse.
