Luxury Cars: For those who don't know Melkus, they are a German car manufacturer who debuted on the market with the RS1000, a vehicle based on the Wartburg 353, which was built between 1969 and 1979 in just 101 units. Due to the fact that the vehicle remained a legend, the manufacturer is considering a second-generation of the vehicle, dubbed the RS2000. Powered by a 270 hp engine, the vehicle is a true sports car (3.9m length, 1.75m width and just 1.12m height) and carries its characteristic gullwing doors. Due to the fact that the vehicle is made entirely made of carbon fiber materials and fiberglass and has an aluminium chassis, the total weight is only 950 kg. Price of the vehicle will be around to €100,000. The new hand-made car will make its debut in November 2009 and according to the manufacturer, just 25 units will be built per year!
