Luxury SUV: The second coming of the Lexus GX 460 Luxury SUV for 2010 is a traffic stopper. Three major changes to the new car were shown at the introduction of the all-new GX 460 luxury utility vehicle. Its new V8 engine with a six-speed transmission and 301 horsepower engine is more powerful and efficient. The already-roomy interior has been redesigned with the addition of a standard third row. Safety features have been improved upon too, as 10 airbags are standard in the 2010 GX 460. Additionally, there is an optional “pre-collision” system available as well.

The automaker proudly proclaims the luxury utility vehicle, is more powerful, more efficient, quieter, and more luxurious than the model it supplanted, the 2009 GX 470. The GX 460 has a standard seven-passenger configuration and is equipped with full-time four-wheel drive and the advanced KDSS, a kinetic dynamic suspension system that improves handling for everyday and off-road driving. The SUV has an EPA-estimated 15 mpg “city” driving and 20 mpg on highways.

The new GX 460 features a more versatile interior, as the second row seat slides more than four inches to and fro to improve upon passenger comfort and cargo carrying. The foldable and reclining second row seats also feature a 60/40 walk-in function to access the standard power fold-flat third row seats. The rear door window uses a flip-up glass panel for added convenience. The cabin is quieter and warmer, with the addition of a heated steering wheel, heated outer second-row seats, and new multimedia family entertainment selections available. The 2010 GX 460 rides higher on standard 18-inch alloy wheels compared to standard 17-inch wheels on the last GX 470 model.

The new SUV has a long list of standard features as well as many optional selections. For more information on the 2010 GX 460, visit Lexus.com.
